Bloom Bloom Pow!

Hello Fashionista's!
We're back and this time "hauter" than ever.

I'm sure you guys loved our introduction of the Snazzy Man but for today’s post we're taking you back to the basics, the basics that all of us love.

The weather in Mumbai has taken us by surprise time and again. The sudden chill in the air over the past 2 months that is dispersing into an early arrival of heat and humidity.
Is that bringing us down? NOT AT ALL.
'Cause no one does keeping up better than us. ;)

The onsets of new seasons allow us to experiment with different cuts/styles and with so many inspiring warm-weather looks trickling in and out of stores right now, we fashion fanatics are definitely ready to shed our heavy coats and SPRING forward. There’s no better way to ring in the season than with a super-fresh floral piece.

Of course, the flower-powered items we're interested in for this coming season are anything but the tired '90s-inspired numbers we've come to know all too well. Instead, we're looking for updates in the form of oversized blooms, asymmetrical patterns, and wallpaper-worthy buds that are total show stoppers. To get to know the crazy botanicals that are about to make your wardrobe bloom big time, go ahead — and get pluckin'.

Layering your clothes always enhances a look. With this look we decided to layer an already snazzy floral dress with:

A) A shirt in a solid color since that tones down the already busy floral print giving it a less bolder yet a very different look. The shirt is held together with a belt, a look that is advisable for a slim as well as a regular built.

b) A solid colored V-Neck flowy top. The V-Neck is taken keeping in mind the frills around the neck area of the floral dress, in order for them to be visible and look stylish when pulled out. The belt is used around the waist to define the body shape and this layering is advised for a slim body type since its body hugging.

Floral Dress with Zipper: Collezioni Moda
Shoes: Que-Up
Sunglasses: Charles & Keith
Bag: Lokhandwala Market
Yellow Shirt (Layer 1): Westside
Mustard Top (Layer 2): Bangkok
Brown Belt: Benetton
Watch: Aldo
Pearl Chain: Fabiani Exhibition

We know what you're thinking:

Florals for spring, how revolutionary! *Insert eye roll here*
But even while shelves are filling up with ditsy-printed duds and flowery frocks — all a little bit too precious for our tastes — you actually can join the garden party without revisiting your Kindergarten days. How? By giving those floral prints a snazzy dose of preppy flair.

With a little structure, these pieces look fresh, modern, and equal parts sweet and sophisticated — and you can easily wear any of them for work or play.  So tell us Creative Fashionistas, are you into bold floral prints? How do you wear this trend? Comments and emails are always welcome :)

Something Snazzy - Something Blue

We’re back and with a bigger bang this time!

I’m sure all you readers must be wondering what Snazz Prerogative has been upto the past few weeks. Lets just say we had been planning and working on something which needed that extra bit of "detail" & you know we’ve always loved to surprise ya’ll just like our previous trend alert. Maybe you guys thought it was just another regular one while others were more curious to know – WHY A MENS TREND ALERT?

If you haven’t guessed it already – We finally got down to starting something we’ve been yearning to do from quite some time now.

Presenting to you - THE SNAZZY MAN

The Snazzy Man according to us is he who is approachable, edgy, confident, stylish and in control of what he’s doing. Style is of extreme importance to men & the way a man carries himself is what makes him who he is. Persona and style go hand in hand when it comes to shaping the perfect SNAZZY MAN.
While most of the time Mens fashion is considered to be stuff thats easy, quick, simple &  casual in reality its the exact opposite.
So here's to the SNAZZY MAN who power dresses, mixes and matches, layers & takes risks.

Slim fit linen pants are something that each and every guy must own, especially those who love to wear shorts.

They are a superb alternative to shorts when you want to go for something comfy but don’t let our description of them make you think of them as the 'lounging kind', they're far from that. These pants go extremely well with a formal shirt; a full sleeves t-shirt or even a simple tee. Lets show you how its done.

White Shirt – Benetton
Leopard Print Tie – Tinsel Town
Navy Blue Linen Pants – Tinsel Town
Electric Blue Loafers – Zara
Sunglasses - Carrera

The leopard print tie screams RISK TAKER & a risk that proves to be quite worth it. We always say that when it comes to guys, shoes play an important role in the entire ensemble. The right shoes can take you from 0 to 100 in about a millisecond. Loafers are a style that have been around but not as much as they have been offlate. They are the perfect balance between casual and formal taking them a notch above the rest. The shocking electric blue adds that edge to the entire look making it super snazzy.

Without forgetting the most important thing - a well fitting white shirt is a must in every guy's wardrobe, its the best bet for mixing and matching. If you don't have one we'd suggest you step out and get one that suits you and your body type the best.

Accessorizing for men has a lot to do with good watches, bands, bracelets, fancy wallets & especially sunglasses. While the women go crazy over a million selections, being a guy selecting amongst an already limited selection is even tougher. Make that choice after a lot of thinking because you never know who's sitting at the other end of the bar ;)

The opportunities in mens fashion are endless and so are our upcoming posts. So crease your linens all you want 'coz the snazzy man is here to stay.

Snazzy Detachments

Play-it-safers, hear us out—detachable collars have been a quirky accessory choice for stylists since Miu Miu's infamous spring '10 show, but they're no longer a ‘niche’ style.
An extremely snazzy alternative to a choker or neckpiece this when chose and worn - correctly, can add polish to an outfit without the bulk of a whole shirt. Besides, your very stylish mother and father probably have a few shirts that you could use to make your very own detachable collar.

Today snazz will be showing you different versions of the detachable collars, each with its own twist on the trend.

Which one would you wear?

Grey T-shirt: OVS Industry
LBD: Bangkok
Denim Shirt: Bangkok
Denim Jacket: Bangkok
White Top: La Senza
Nude Pants: Vero Moda

A detachable collar can be attached to a simple outfit, be it a plain white t-shirt, an LBD or a floral 60's style dress. The trick to making it versatile is by wisely choosing the most suitable collars for your wardrobe such as sequined, embellished, animal print, leather, more geometric/futuristic or a plain peter pan collar kind. The more options you have ready before you, the more you get to play around with your outfits.

Shown above are 3 collars, The first one being the Peter Pan collar in mustard yellow, second one in blue checks with golden stones and the third being the red collar with white polka dots. It’s a look we’d most definitely recommend to all you readers out there.

Despite its heavy tilt towards androgyny the detachable collar can flit between genders.

We want you to be Snazzy at all times, so this week we decided to take our mission to make you snazzier than you already are a step further. We are now launching Snazzy P’s Store where you can purchase exclusive items featured on our blog in this and the other posts to come.

The Detachable Collars in today’s feature are now up for grabs at Rs 250 each. Also get in touch with us to design your very own detachable collar.

Email us your orders/requests on snazzprerogative@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you. Check us out on Facebook & follow us on twitter @Snazzy_P
