Snazzy Detachments

Play-it-safers, hear us out—detachable collars have been a quirky accessory choice for stylists since Miu Miu's infamous spring '10 show, but they're no longer a ‘niche’ style.
An extremely snazzy alternative to a choker or neckpiece this when chose and worn - correctly, can add polish to an outfit without the bulk of a whole shirt. Besides, your very stylish mother and father probably have a few shirts that you could use to make your very own detachable collar.

Today snazz will be showing you different versions of the detachable collars, each with its own twist on the trend.

Which one would you wear?

A detachable collar can be attached to a simple outfit, be it a plain white t-shirt, an LBD or a floral 60's style dress. The trick to making it versatile is by wisely choosing the most suitable collars for your wardrobe such as sequined, embellished, animal print, leather, more geometric/futuristic or a plain peter pan collar kind. The more options you have ready before you, the more you get to play around with your outfits.

Shown above are 3 collars, The first one being the Peter Pan collar in mustard yellow, second one in blue checks with golden stones and the third being the red collar with white polka dots. It’s a look we’d most definitely recommend to all you readers out there.

Despite its heavy tilt towards androgyny the detachable collar can flit between genders.
