Are you ready to JUMP?

Just a few days to go for new years eve and I'm sure most of you have decided your look for the last night of 2011. As we've covered earlier on our blog glitter and shimmery dresses are THE pick for this party season, so if you haven't gone and picked it out already we suggest you do so soon.

For all you girls who don't want to take the dress route this year, we've got something you're going to like. I'm sure everyone is familiar with jumpsuits but we obviously want it to be snazzy enough for our taste & as for accessorizing, which has been the craziest fad this past year - wearing it differently is what is definitely going to bump up you're style quotient.

Black Jumpsuit - Tailor made with a lacy top
Leopard Print Hat - Collezioni Moda
Black stone & gold chain neckpiece - XOXO Accessories
Rose Ring - XOXO Accessories
Black Pumps - Aldo
(Prices of all the above on request)

What we have here for you isn't you're average, run in the mill jumpsuit just stitched together. It has a very chic lacy top in order to give it that formal yet flirty new years eve look.
The simplicity of the jumpsuit can be complemented with an outrageously printed hat (leopard print in this case), a neckpiece (that can be worn sideways as well) and a chunky ring.

Minimal is the keyword when it comes to the jumpsuits envisioned by great designers. Loads of creativity is necessary to turn the simple and laid back jumpsuits into real Cinderella outfits with additional details as well as the sophisticated and architectural tailoring. The various embellishments, blissful fabric used as well as the suave details all contribute to the immortalised allure of these jumpsuits.

So this party season don't necessarily stick to dresses, if a jumpsuit is what you want, a jumpsuit is what you should get.

Wear the joy =D

So we're back and this time we're spreading the joy. Holiday season is without a doubt the best season there is. Here at Snazz we don't just want you to spread the joy but we want you to wear it. The weather is only giving us a reason to get our winter best out and what better occasion than christmas.

When it comes to fashion and comfort for the winter and cool weather, the poncho jackets are on top. Not just a clothing apparel but comfort, warmth, practicality, and style combined in one genius piece of design. They were extremely popular in the 1970’s, but slowly faded out as time goes by. But this year, we have seen this great fashion style to be in demand again, especially after a lot of celebrities and fashion designers were able to publicly display on their catwalk. The poncho jackets become popular again and a lot of new modern designs and styles for poncho started to surface. Not only as jackets but poncho jackets are indeed one of the most comfortable and stylish pieces of clothing that people will want to have in their wardrobe.

We want to make sure you guys can get the right poncho jacket, from the right place and in the right style and color that suits your personality the best.

Red-Velvet Stiletto's: Tres Mode
Strawberry Earrings: XOXO Accessories

Its amazing how these poncho jackets when paired with simple printed stockings can give you a look to die for. To complete the ensemble red-velvet stilettos are the cherry on the cake (literally). :p

Matching the outfit with good accessories is crucial. Our friends at XOXO Accessories helped us with the perfect combination of accessories that would go with this look. The strawberry earrings (in case of the red and green poncho jackets) & the turquoise earrings and bracelet (in case of the mustard poncho jacket) are minimalistic and give a feminine touch to the look. The chunky, rock solid gold ring makes a bold statement and adds to the fierce quotient.

As we mentioned earlier, this holiday season don't just spread the joy - WEAR IT! & do let us know how that worked out for you - we'd love that.

That 70's Show

When they say history repeats itself i'm sure they were talking in the context of fashion and the age old trends becoming the 'in thing' all over again. The return of the 70s has taken the fashion world by storm. You'll see bell bottom pants, glitter dresses & jumpsuits for girls, shirts with bell sleeves for boys and much more.

Just how i keep up with the kardashain's my luck seemed to have kept up with me & landed me the 70's theme for this years Detour fashion show. This show was my first as an independent choreographer and one that i'm never going to forget. With a lot of hard work, effort & of course co-operation from my entire team it was what it was - The show that bagged first place, the show that had the best costumes and also the show that won the prize for best choreographer. It was a team effort and one very well executed.
I would like to thank all my models & a bigger thank you to Ritika, Suzzie & Krishna for dolling all the girls up and making them look fabulous :).

Looks like we were given the platform to get 70's back onto the ramp while it had just started to creep back in. Snazz will definitely be following this up with a post thats going to blow you're minds but for now a peek into what the show was (Trust me you'd wanna enlarge this image).

Rustic Junkie

Love strolling on the streets?
Feeling like a junkie? (and i mean fashion)
OR
Simply too lazy to dress up.

There will be days when you just want to get out of the house and not worry too much about how you'll look - but wait, think again - you DO worry about how you look - ALWAYS!

According to us the most comfortable pants (for any season) are the capri-harems which are easy to find wherever you go. Available in various colors and prints such as floral, animal & psychedelic, whatever suits you're mood or personality. Karishma likes shopping on a budget and thats something she does best. So for all you casual lookers we've got the easiest not-to-worry about look that fits a budget but of course with a SNAZZ of our own ;)

Perfect for a day out on the streets or even college, this outfit has such a relaxed feel, its like you have nothing on. The accessories & the antique looking bag only add to a very simple look giving it a rustic & earthy feel. So when it comes to comfort and fashion all in one this is definitely a WIN.

Pink halter - Linking road street market
Floral Capri-Harems - Colaba Causeway
Bangles & Bracelet - Accessorize
Bag - Karishma's own (Mom's collection)

Get high on the look, not on substance

Trend Alert: Chunk ain't junk

When I was younger, I HATED the way chunky heels looked. I couldn't wait until I was old enough to wear stilettos like my mama lol. Well now that I'm older, I think certain styles of chunky heels are very cute and fashionable. I like the way these can add a classy/timeless look to an every day outfit.

Don’t think about it twice, reading the title is all it takes to convince you to raid your mum’s closet! Consider yourself warned – the chunky, high heels are back and smoking hot this season. I’m not sure where the Stiletto girls stay in relation to the new fashionable retro heel, but I sure am happy to see it back! The chunky platforms which used to be praised back in the 60s and 70s have made a powerful comeback in fashion. Colourful platform high heeled shoes make my heart flutter! How do you like’em?
